Prerequisites

To study an Agriculture degree focusing on Animal Science an individual will usually have to have studied at least one science based A level along with one other A level subject. The entry requirements are subject to change, but currently individuals are asked for AAB. Work experience of at least 10 weeks working in on a commercial farm is required.

Core requisites

Taking fours years to complete with a one year placement and work experience being a key part in being able to complete this degree and provide the pathway to become professionally qualified in Agricultural Animal Science leading to endless career possibilities.

Course summary

On the Agricultural Animal Science course the individual will gain an in depth knowledge about the science and technology associated with animal welfare, food quality and environmental issues facing the industry. Learning and developing the skills hand on with lots of physical assessments.

Note

Farming and animal production is vital to the UK economy.
