Prerequisites

To study a Global Agriculture degree an individual will usually have to have studied at least one science based A level along with one other A level subject. The entry requirements are subject to change, but currently individuals are asked for AAB. Work experience of at least 2 weeks working in a relevant field is required.

Core requisites

Taking three years to complete with placements and work experience a key part in being able to complete this degree and provide the pathway to become professionally qualified in Global Agriculture leading to endless career possibilities.

There is the option to go onto the 4 year course and have a placement year between year 2 and year 3 to either have a year in industry or to have a year studying abroad.

Course summary

The Global Agriculture course will focus mainly on different and new approaches to agriculture, providing individuals with the skills and knowledge that they need in order to apply this knowledge to play a part in the security of global food. Skills will be developed in order to enhance sustainable agricultural production.

Note

There is a huge challenge to the future farming industry due to an increasing population and other obstacles such as Climate change.
