Prerequisites

To study a Medicine degree an individual will usually have to have studied A level Biology and Chemistry along with one other A level subject. The entry requirements are subject to change, but currently individuals are asked for AAA, a prediction of at least AAB is also required in order to apply. Work experience of a minimum of 2 weeks working in a medical practice is required.

Core requisites

Taking six years to complete with placements and work experience a key part in being able to complete this degree and provide the pathway to become professionally qualified in medicine. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout this course to work with professionals in external companies, labs, hospitals and medical practices.

Course summary

Learning the skills and knowledge that is required to become a qualified Doctor. Students will have to put their learning into practice throughout this degree with hands on practical work continuously over the 6 year period. It is also a requirement to go on placements during the degree at hospitals and GP surgeries. This will aid the individual in their learning and is crucial to becoming a graduate in Medicine.
