Prerequisites

To study an Agricultural Economics degree an individual will usually have to have studied at least one science based A level along with one other A level subject. The entry requirements are subject to change, but currently individuals are asked for AAB.

Work experience of at least 2 weeks working in a relevant field is required.

Core requisites

Taking three years to complete with placements and work experience a key part in being able to complete this degree and provide the pathway to become professionally qualified in Agricultural Economics leading to endless career possibilities.

Course summary

The Agricultural Economics course will focus mainly on Consumer, Producers, Markets and Trade as well as Econometrics and resource and environmental economics. Skills will be developed in order to enhance sustainable agricultural production.

There will be lots of opportunities throughout the course to get involved with extra curriculum activities that will involve external companies and allow individuals to enhance knowledge and gain relevant experience.

Note

The world population is growing rapidly and there is huge pressure on the world’s finite resources, therefore the analytical skills of agricultural economists more important than ever.
